Okay, I want to apologize for not blogging recently. These past couple weeks are a bit of a blur in my mind and it’s hard to grasp the reality that we’re leaving for India on Wednesday! I do want to fill you guys in on some fun things though, so since my last blog I…
…left my backpack sitting under a table in a McDonald’s at 11pm and didn’t realize it until I was a 15 minute walk away and sitting on a
songthaew getting ready to go back to the room. I did recover it, but remind me to tell you the story one day!
…handed out Bibles/tracts to the Chinese on the pier in Pattaya. So awesome!
…became a tourist attraction to the above-mentioned Chinese. I think it has something to do with me being so white, but all I know is that a group of them wanted pictures with me. It was awkward. And awesome.
…rode in the back of a songthaew back to Bangkok for our last 10 days of ministry.
…immediately felt at home at our Bangkok ministry.
…am literally living in a coffee shop.
…fell in love with our contact’s 10 week old yellow lab, Tandawan.
…celebrated Heather’s birthday with cake and lattes.
…prayer walked at Nana and Soi Cowboy – two of the red light districts in Bangkok.
…have seen God’s redeeming power.
…stained furniture for 7 hours with Heather and Mindy for the coffee shop. We were tired and filthy by the time we were done [and to be honest, we’re still dirty, because stain just doesn’t come out], but we had so much fun!
…baked and cooked – two things I miss doing so much!
…have loved seeing how our team community has grown over the past week and a half.
…am left in awe by the goodness of my Father!
