Team Arise60
[Clicking on their name will link you to their blog – I encourage you to follow them, as well]
Can I just say how excited I am to spend time ministering with these ladies? Oddly enough, I only really spent time with 2 of them before we were placed together on a team, but I know that God’s hand orchestrated our grouping and that He is going to move in and through us in big ways! 🙂
Matthew 5:14-16 says, “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
When it came time to discuss a team name, we began talking about the idea of how we called to be a light and how we are going into very dark places. When it is dark you will not hear someone say, “Turn off the darkness!”, in fact, you will hear just the opposite, “Turn on the light!”
So, our name stems from Isaiah 60:1-3:
Arise, shine;
For your light has come!
And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.
For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,
And deep darkness the people;
But the Lord will arise over you,
And His glory will be seen upon you.
The Gentiles shall come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising.
I also want to mention three things that were spoken over us as a team before we left Training Camp:
- God will use us to heal the sick and raise the dead [Matthew 10:7-8].
- We are “agitators” in the spirit – it was compared to how a washing machine shakes things up. We are going to shake things up in the spiritual realm!
- And lastly, release was mentioned, so that when we shake things up spiritually, we will not continue to carry that weight with us.
I would ask that you would keep us in prayer not only while we are on the field, but as we are leading up to launch, as well. Pray for unity, protection, peace, boldness, financial needs to be met and that God would continue to raise us up to be mighty warriors in the spirit – that we would bring Kingdom everywhere we go!
I am so thankful and blessed by this group of ladies. I am looking forward to everything the next few months will bring – living in community with them, ministering with them and growing with them.
