Well, here I am, reporting from Seattle! I arrived a little later than I expected, but everything went smoothly.

My first 24 hours on the west coast has been absolutely amazing! I spent the day exploring downtown with Allie, Kylie, Anna, Julie, Jenna and Jason – we went to themarket, ate at Breecher’s [most amazing mac and cheese I’ve had besides our family recipe], visited the Space Needle, found the Freemont Troll and had a fun last dinner with some squad mates at a local restaurant.

Leaving home yesterday was really, really hard. I was a crying mess and wondering how on earth I would be able to do this. Fact is, I can’t, but I know that I am taking a step of faith and that God is going to meet me where I’m at and take me the rest of the way. And there is no place I would rather be than in His hands!
I am surrounded with an amazing group of people and am honored to be on this journey with them. I know that it doesn’t matter what we encounter – happy, sad, frustrating or celebratory – they will be there: supportive, praying, praising, giving all glory to our Creator!
Tomorrow we leave for Cambodia – your prayers would be appreciated, as it’s a 22 hour flight! To those who have supported me financially, are praying for me or following this blog – this is your journey too! Hope you’re as excited as I am 🙂
