My name is Carolyn Miller. I come from the small town of Lehighton, Pennsylvania. I am currently a graduate student at Lehigh University working on my masters degree in counseling psychology. I will be taking year diversion in studies to pursue my relationship and further growth with the Lord. I work as a nanny/babysitter taking care of some amazing kids. Children are wonderful and deserve every ounce of love the world has to offer, I pray that during the World Race we are able to share that love through discipleship and sharing our own love and the love of God through us.
I have two siblings, one younger brother, and one older sister (yes, I am the “middle child”). However, my sister and I are only one year apart making us “Irish twins”. My best skill is studying. I am known as the brain in the family, hence why I am still in school I guess, I need to continue my talent somehow. At a certain point I was tired of the scene, the cycle of going to work, class, then home to study, work, class, then home to study, etc.. I wanted the feeling of adventure and exciting, the feeling of helping, actually at that point I wanted any feeling at all; so I looked up adventure missions on my computer and Adventure In Missions site was one of the top choices to look at, there were a lot of great choices to look at but the most intriguing was the title of World Race. I love to travel and the choice of going around the world won my vote. I read all the information, looked at the application, filled it out (even though I did not think I would have a real chance) and here I am. Wow! When I actually had the choice to go, I was shocked and still am. Thinking about going to non-tourist locations around the globe, working for the Lord, sharing his word and love, working with children, it will be more than amazing.
