In a vow to be more open in my blog, I’ve compiled a short list of the crazy, amazing ways I have seen God move during my World Race. Although this hardly skims the surface, it gives a more accurate glimpse into my daily life.
1) I’ve seen a young generation of Chinese Christians rise up and boldly proclaim their faith in Jesus, even when they face persecution from their peers and prosecution from their government
2) I befriended a young woman who didn’t know Jesus and saw the Holy Spirit plant a seed in her heart as she asked question after question about the character of God
3) I met a woman who has overcome more in her life than I can even fathom, yet through the grace of God can forgive and be merciful to those who hurt her most
4) I have learned what it means to truly live in community. To fight for each other daily, to love one another endlessly and to trust that if I fall, they will be there to pick me up
5) I have experienced being an answer to someone else’s prayer and seen their joy and faith renewed because of it
6) I’ve seen my prayer life completely change, spent hours of my day in intercession with God lifting up my team, my squad and the beautiful people I’ve met in each country
7) I’ve opened my heart to the spiritual gifts God has blessed me with and been able to hear Him speaking into my heart like never before
8) I have befriended prostitutes, ladyboys and bar girls and loved them so much it hurts
9) I have experienced spiritual warfare on a whole new level but rejoiced in knowing that the war is already won
10) I’ve had my heart broken over the poverty, malnourishment and hopelessness that I have witnessed in children who don’t know any other life
11) But overall, I’ve seen God move through these nations in a mighty way and now desire more than ever to do whatever I can to bring His kingdom to earth
