1. My pack is entirely too big to be carrying around the world for a year.  So therefore I’m learning to live without many things I thought I needed. 
  2. Georgia has some very hungry, crazy mutant mosquitos
  3. I can survive just fine even when everything I own is soaking wet
  4. It is possible to bathe with wet wipes and actually feel semi-clean
  5. It is acceptable to dance anytime, anywhere…. and I love it!
  6. I always thought I was a picky eater, but when I’m hungry enough I will eat whatever you put in front of me
  7. Sleeping in a tent by yourself is a luxury!!
  8. Not having my phone on at all times is actually very freeing
  9. Makeup is way overrated
  10. Matching your clothes is even more overrated

11 More Important Things I Learned at Training Camp:

  1. I was skeptical when I heard that I would leave training camp feeling like my squad was family, but I was so wrong.  I love each and every one of U!!
  2. God restored my heart this week.  He knew exactly what I needed and provided.
  3. Being “wrecked” is a really good thing
  4. Holding back tears doesn’t make you strong.  Holding back tears makes you weak.  Crying can be a really beautiful thing (thank you Lauren Schraa for helping me to see this)
  5. The Holy Spirit is so real and he rocks my world!
  6. The best leaders are humble leaders
  7. I love that sometimes God speaks in quiet whispers because it makes my faith even stronger
  8. I’m going to miss my family and friends back home like crazy, but you can’t grow if you don’t leave your comfort zone
  9. Being willing to say “Yes” to what the Lord asks of you is the most important thing
  10. I know its cliché, but attitude really is everything.  It’s a choice to be positive.
  11. My heart’s prayer: “Lord do anything you need to do in me, that you might do everything you want to do through me.”
