WHY NOW?

When I first told friends and family about this mission trip, I was asked questions like “Why Now?” “Are you scared?” “What’s the point? I have thought long and hard about mission trips in general for over a year. I know that I am ready for a new chapter in my life and the world race semesters is just that beginning. I started college back in 2016, majoring in General Studies at a local community college, after taking a few semesters I didn’t feel like it was right for me so I took some time off and went back and yet I feel like I haven’t really started my life yet. I want to see the world before starting my career and what better way than serving our lord  Jesus Christ and seeing a few beautiful sites on the way.

I could say I’m not really scared but that would be a lie.  Heck Yea I’m scared, but that’s not stopping me from this adventure. I’m mostly scared leaving my family and my sweet dog luna behind, some of my responsibilities, and stepping into a new culture which may be difficult; But a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do and this girl is ready to serve

(Mark 16:15, He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all.”)

The point of this trip is to spread love and the gospel of the Lord. The point of this trip is to teach the children of Ecuador and Peru another language. The point of this trip is to create a comfortable and loving atmosphere for each woman and child. I believe God called me onto this trip for these points and he’s gonna love what my team has in store!
