Everyone! I am SO excited to announce that I am fully funded! I’ve actually been fully funded for one month + a day. I meant to sit down earlier and write this “thank you” note, but I never got around to it. So now, here I am to say THANK YOU times infinity.
It’s so crazy looking back at the beginning of this journey. I’ve known for about 3 years that I was going to do the world race and every year I saw the price getting higher and higher. It was finally time to apply, then I got accepted, and then I saw the $18,100 price tag. That’s a whole heck of a lot of money. I was in this weird place of believing I could never raise that much money, but at the same time trusting God would provide it.
The first few months were a struggle, I was doing everything in my power to raise the money, but I’m just me and me by myself is not enough. I wasn’t bringing God into the journey with me, I was too prideful. I actually wrote a whole blog about this. When I finally leaned into God and stopped trying to do things myself, He provided, BIG TIME, through all of you!
It doesn’t matter if you were able to provide financially or not, your prayers made the difference. I have so much I want to say, but the only words I can gather are THANK YOU!
It’s overwhelming to think about how many people invested in me and my calling to get me here. I’m writing this to y’all in a cafe in Cambodia…something I never thought I’d say. God is crazy cool and gives amazing gifts. I’m trying so hard to find more eloquent words to express my gratitude, but again, the best I can do is: THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
I don’t think I ever posted this anywhere, or maybe I did, but someone anonymously donated the last $454 to get me to $18,100. To whoever that was: thank you! It was literally the most perfect ending to what was already my favorite day (video below). I’m so incredibly thankful for your love and support, it was completely unexpected. I’m so undeserving, but I’m so thankful for you, whoever you are. I wish I could say thank you in person and give you a big hug, but hopefully this will do.
I know this whole blog is just me rambling about being thankful, but it’s the best I can do when words won’t ever be enough.
