Writing an about me is awkward and I don’t know what to say. I guess to start, my name is Caroline Jenkins, I’m 21 (22 in August!) and I’m from the Greenville area of SC! I just graduated from Charleston Southern University (go bucs) with my degree in early childhood education, as well as elementary education. That means I’m certified to teach Pre-K – 6th grade. If I could hand pick a grade to teach it would be 2nd! Some fun facts about me would be that I’ve piloted a small plane before and I’ve been to 10 countries all in the last 4 years.

Why am I going on the race? I’m going for a few different reasons. One, to follow a calling God has put on my life and to be a light for Him overseas (and wherever I am). Two, I get into such a routine and I have a tendency to put God into a neat little box and only pull Him out when I need Him and then quickly put Him away after. I want to live a life that is fully reliant on Him. I think the world race is the first step for me to take Him out of the box for the last time. Three, I love Jesus, adventure, and seeing the world that He so beautifully created and the WR is the perfect combination of my passions.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me. It’s hard to sum yourself up in an “about me” so I’m sure I’m forgetting something important.
