Greetings from Riga, Latvia!
My team and I have been here since Friday with the entire Z Squad for a Leadership Development Weekend! Riga is such a beautiful city, and we have loved being here.
This month, Team Zoa will be an “Unsung Heroes Team” in Villianus, Lithuania!
Adventures in Missions has program called the “Unsung Heroes Campaign”. Basically, AIM needs more ministry contacts around the world for future World Race teams, so they’re appointing people on the field to actively look for such contacts and set up partnerships.
Unsung Heroes are men and women who are dedicated to serving some of the most impoverished populations in the world, yet rarely receive recognition for their dedication and service. These givers may also live with meager conditions but give consistently from an abundance of Gods’ love. Their names may not be in history books, their acts unknown to the rest of the world, while unrecognized, they shake a generation and move a culture and ultimately build the Kingdom.
Adventures in Mission’s Unsung Heroes Program is designed to connect and network with these Unsung Heroes in an effort to come alongside them and provide lift to their efforts to further the Kingdom. The goal of incorporating this program into the World Race is to allow for teams on the field to identify persons that are working to further the Kingdom and to assess how we could serve them and the potential for host status. Many of these people may be doing this alone, with no community or network for support, and we want to acknowledge the impact of their ministry and provide lift in whatever way possible.
So please pray for Team Zoa, as we will be building relationships with multiple potential contacts for future World Race teams in Lithuania!
Just a quick financial update, I am about $1,000 away from being fully funded! The final deadline is July 1st, so please pray that I meet this deadline!
Peace,
Caroline
