Dear Family and Friends,
I hope this letter finds you well! I wanted to write you to let you know about some new things that are going on in my life. I recently returned to Memphis after serving in the United States Navy and I am currently going to school at the University of Memphis. I have enjoyed being home, but recently I have felt the Lord calling me down another path. Growing up I have gone on several missions trips. From building a church in Mexico, to helping with Hurricane Katrina relief in New Orleans, and ministering to orphans in Mozambique Africa, I have always had a heart for missions and serving others. I have realized my spiritual gifts of compassion and servant-hood and how the Lord wants me to use those gifts to further His Kingdom. I have spent a lot of time praying and have decided to take a step of faith and go on a 11 month long mission trip. I cannot do it alone – I need your partnership!
I will serve as a missionary through an organization, Adventures in Missions, in their World Race program. The World Race is an 11-month Christian mission trip to 11 different countries around the world. I will be traveling to South Africa, Swaziland, Mozambique, India, Nepal, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Ireland, Ukraine, & Romania. Through adventure, ministry, community, and self- discovery, World Racers develop broken hearts that propel their hands to act for God’s kingdom around the globe. On the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children who are trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the restoration and hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.
I am so grateful for this opportunity that God has given me, and have every confidence that He will provide for my needs! Ultimately, my prayer is that He will do that through you. I am writing to you to ask if you would consider partnering prayerfully and financially with me in my ministry. I must raise $15,000 in order to go on the World Race, which covers all of my expenses on the field. This financial support can be given as a one-time gift or as monthly donation, wherein you choose the amount and beginning and end date. If 25 people pledge $50 a month for 12 months, I would have 100 percent of the funds necessary for my trip.
