Im not going to lie, I was a little nervous about being the first ever World Race squad in Mongolia. I like being able to look at previous World Race’s blogs about all the different countries I am going to visit, just to get an idea of what to expect. With Mongolia.. there were no blogs.. I had NO idea what to expect. I felt like we were AIM’s guinea pigs.

Going to Mongolia I was excited, nervous, and curious to see what the Lord had in store for us.

The past month has been one of my favorites on the race so far. Mongolia was amazing. The country is beautiful, so green and mountainous. The skies are always so blue with tons of fluffy white clouds. The Mongolian people are so incredibly friendly, and hospitable. They are probably some of the toughest people I have ever met, and so proud to be Mongolian.

My team, Tenacious, and Team Change were together this month. We worked with a church called The Church of All Nations in the capital city of Ulaan Baatar. The congregation was so on fire for the Lord and was so open and loving. Coming from China, a very closed and spiritually oppressed country, where the people aren’t very friendly, Mongolia was a breath of fresh air.

We spent our month helping the church with cleaning and landscaping. One weekend we traveled out to the country side for a youth camp, where we got to play games, worship, and just spend time with with kids from the church. We woke up one morning and our camp site was surrounded by wild camels!

I feel so honored to be the first World Race squad in Mongolia. I truly believe the Lord is doing amazing thing there. I no longer feel like we were the guinea pigs, but more like the pioneers. If you are going on the race and Mongolia is on your route, get excited!

Thank you to everyone who has been so incredibly generous and has donated towards keeping me out on the field. Currently, I am $400 away from being fully funded! God has provided to much for me this year, and I just know he will keep providing for my every need.

GO GRIZZ!

Peace, Caroline
