Hi! I’m Carol Marie and I’m honored to serve the Lord in Thailand and Cambodia this summer with Adventures in Missions!
I grew up as a missionary kid in both Mali (Northwest Africa) and Lesotho (Southern Africa). My parents serve with Mission Aviation Fellowship and my dad is an aircraft mechanic. I moved to Kenya when I was a junior in high school to attend Rift Valley Academy for my last two years of high school. After graduating, I spent seven months in Southern Germany working as a nanny and teaching English.
I now attend Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho where I am studying nursing! I love the challenge that nursing school brings and all the friends I’ve made through long nights of studying. I also serve on the Student Government Association and am involved in prison ministry at our local woman’s Pre-Release Center.
My favorite things are living close to my parents again, taking my dog Copper to the dog park, hiking, hammocking, rock climbing, baking blueberry muffins and reading books about medicine.
Sharing the love of Christ is something I’m passionate about and want to get more comfortable with. He chases us down and never gives up, which is something I’ll never fully understand but am extremely grateful for. This year I’ve been pushing myself to vocalize Christ’s love for all and to truly live into what it means to be saved by grace.
I’m stoked for this opportunity and am excited to share what God’s doing in my life through this blog! Enjoy!
