I wanted to first thank everyone who commented on my blog, Facebook post, and messaged me privately. Your support means so much to me. I was overwhelmed with the love and encouragement from all of you. Words cannot express what that means to me.
I wanted to share a family’s story who I talked to the day after I posted my blog. This story tells me that God is saying He will do it again, like He did with me.
We visited a family in the neighborhood. This woman’s daughter’s mouth had been damaged by another girl at school, who also happens to be a neighbor. The family sued this family because it’s 1,000 dollars worth of damage. Unfortunately, the family being sued is very poor so they refuse to pay. Gloria’s daughter, whose mouth is messed up, has continued to be bullied by this other girl at school, and there has continued to be a lot of fighting between the two families. Gloria is scared to even let her kids out of the house at this point.
I got to speak into Gloria when we visited her and share the verse with her that I shared with you all, that God would fight for her, she doesn’t have to say a single word. We talked about the beauty of forgiveness. And that God cares so much about her that He can change this family’s heart to come and apologize. So we prayed for that, and we are continuing to pray for that. I also told her that God would provide for her financially. Pray with me for restoration between these two families, so she can see how God will fight for her.
My team and I are wanting to try to fundraise as much of that 1,000 dollars as we can to show her that God sees her. If you feel led to help us with that, I will be accepting any donations through venmo. My venmo name is Carmen-Eby. Please give if God puts it on your heart.
Blanca is another lady here who is serving the Lord and is trying to change lives by having a Childrens’ ministry every Sunday morning in her neighborhood. Her husband doesn’t help with providing for her and their four kids. We have been praying for her and believe that God can change her husband’s heart and restore their marriage and restore their family. Pray with us for her as well. Her heart is so broken over it. Her daughter is currently in the hospital with Hepatitis B, and she cannot pay the hospital bills but we are praying for God to provide, and helping in anyway. Overseas, hospitals are not as great as in America. The family has to go to the pharmacy to get the medicine and administer it to their sick family member. It’s not all done by the hospital.
If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. – 2 Chronicles 7:14
He will give us his undivided attention, forgive our sins, and heal our land. IF we humble ourselves, seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways.
Our ministry this month is helping with a church plant, helping to encourage the missionaries there, and helping get the local people involved in the church, especially the kids.
The heart that the missionaries have is to change destinies by helping break the generational cycles of poverty mindsets. They believe that poverty is not an absence of money but an absence of character.
God has taken me into a season of fasting. For generations, just as is the hope of our ministry hosts.
And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations, you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to dwell in. – Isaiah 58:12
That has been my hope and prayer. Hope for changed generations.
Not just here. Not with just Gloria and her family. Not with just Blanca. But at home too.
I don’t know if you have ever heard the song “Victor’s Crown,” but it focuses on how Jesus has already won. He has defeated sin and whatever we are dealing with and whatever our family is dealing with. If you haven’t heard of it, I hope you were able to listen to it in my blog!
Every high thing must come down, every stronghold shall be broken. Over each generation.
One of my favorite books of the bible is Nehemiah. Nehemiah felt called to restore Jerusalem by rebuilding the wall of Jerusalem. He had a call and he didn’t let anyone distract him from doing that.
He built up the church with the word. He motivated people to hope. He was not distracted from the task. He unifyed the Church.
And they believed and declared, in Nehemiah 4:20, “Our God will fight for us.”
Let’s motivate people to hope, let’s change the generational cycles by giving them the word of God, let’s unify the church, and let’s fast and pray as a nation for the sins of this nation.
Nehemiah fasted and prayed for 4 months leading up to the building of the wall. He fasted and prayed and repented for the sin of not listening to the Lord, for himself and the nation.
I challenge each of you to join me in prayer and fasting. Praying for the people here as well as America. To be broken enough for Him and His blessings that we discipline ourselves and give up something to the Lord. For the sake of spending time with Him.
Pray for revival- revival in our hearts. Revival starts with the heart.
One heart.
And moves to the next generations.
Revival starts when God takes the fire of heaven and starts to put it in the hearts of human beings. What God is passionate about is what we become passionate about.
What is He passionate about? Where is He wanting to take you deeper?
I don’t want there to be an absence of character. It takes constant checking. Constant heart checking. Nehemiah came back in the last chapter of Nehemiah and had to check the hearts of the people because they were dishonoring God in their actions.
I promise there will be fruit. Persevere. Even if there isn’t immediate fruit. There doesn’t have to be instant gratification for advancement of the kingdom.
Prayer plants those seeds in our kingdom. Just keep praying and remember God’s promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14.
Thank you in advance for those who choose to pray for and/or give to Gloria’s family!
