As
I really start to get into the whole World Cup deal, it excites me to realize
that the whole world is coming together to watch these soccer games. It is just so thrilling to know that
someone on the other side of the world is watching the exact thing that I am
watching at that exact same moment.
Ahh, it fascinates me!!

I
was sitting in a coffee shop this evening, watching all of the diversity around
me even in such a small place. I
looked outside and noticed a man sitting right on the other side of the window
where I was sitting and realized that we were breathing at the exact same pace
at the same time. And then I
watched this other man and woman sitting across the way and realized that they
were breathing too!…and so on!

where I was sitting and realized that we were breathing at the exact same pace
at the same time. And then I
watched this other man and woman sitting across the way and realized that they

This would be the
moment when my loving roommates would start laughing at me and my random “Aha!”
moments. Because really this isn’t
some “huge mind-blowing epiphany” moment, but rather a smaller “duh” kind of
moment, because yes we all breathe (Haha). But I like the
little things in life. The things
that come so naturally to us every single day that we just blow off of our
shoulder. I think we sometimes
forget those smaller moments, that if we were to actually sit there and think
about them, we would say “wow!”.
At least I would! 🙂

seems like we try to focus more on our differences; what we don’t have, why
someone is “better” than us, etc, when in reality, we are all pretty much the
same–we are human. Yes we are each
genuinely unique, but when it comes to the basics of it all, we are all
alike. We might look different and
speak differently, but we all have eyes smack dab in the middle of our head with weirdly shaped noses right below. We know what emotions feel like…love, joy,
sadness, and so on. And we are all
people who have the same purpose whether we know it or not–to worship our
SAVIOR with all of our beings and doings!

excites me so much to know that I am going to at least 11 other countries all
over the globe starting in less than 3 months!! I will see people from many different cultures, and I will
be reminded that we really have a whole lot in common!
