I have seen Him so much. I just have to choose to allow myself to see Him. He provides me smiles over and over again many times a day. I just have to allow my eyes to see things in a new light.
In Uganda, I have seen Him…
I see Him In the butterflies He sends to land on my arm at just the right time. (butterflies are my little “kiss from God”, fyi :] )

I saw Him in the little girl named Lydia who followed me around for over an hour as I walked around the community telling people about Jesus. I didn’t even pay much attention to her yet she was constantly physically attached to me and smiling the entire time.
I especially saw Him when Lydia would run to the other side of the road and turn around, give me a huge bubbly smile as I held my arms out to her and she ran as fast as her little 2 year old legs could carry her into my arms as I scooped her up and spun her around.
I have seen Him present when a woman was healed from her stomach problems she has been suffering with for a while. It wasn’t instant, but I visited her the next day at her shop and she shared the news joyfully of her healing!
I saw Him in a man who was listening to me from a distance who was addicted to alcohol. He gave his life to Jesus that day and desired to be set free from alcoholism.
I saw Him in the woman who was watching me pray over the man struggling with alcoholism, and brought her young son over to me to pray a demon out of him. [reality check right here.]
I saw Him when I was sitting in a little alleyway with a stream of water full of trash flowing right in front of my legs. I was so tired and wondering what in the world I was doing there, as I looked around and saw 4 young women, not including my 2 amazing translators at the time, as well as many little girls running around and wanting to be near me.
I was surrounded by females of all ages!….and better yet, telling them all about Jesus!
I saw Him in the 15-year-old Muslim girl named Namutebi when she received Jesus Christ as her personal Savior from that group of women. Oh yeah, did I tell you she showed up at church on Sunday too and hung out at my side and abounding with joy?
I saw Him when we visited an orphanage
where all 22 of the children slept on the floor in such a small room. They welcomed us with such a lovely
song. It was truly beautiful.
I saw Him in the absolutely adorable
children we saw all over the town.
large mountain (at least it felt that way in my mind). I was so exhausted and wondered why my
translator wouldn’t just let us stop and minister to someone at the
bottom. A woman came to know the Lord on
top of that mountain though. It was
worth the trek.

I saw Him when my translator let me pray
over the beauty store she owned. She
also helped me find the perfect colors for my weave when I got it, because she
didn’t have all the colors I wanted at the time. We walked around town for a while looking for
such bright colors. But if you look closely,
she now owns the leftover pieces (pink & green) of my weave that were unused. I’m glad I got to bless her with those, hehe
;]
I especially saw Him in our contacts,
Pastor Joseph and Beatrice and their 4 beautiful children. Those are
definitely 2 people who love the Lord with all their hearts! They were so humble and generous and loving. I was greatly encouraged by them!!…and even more so now even after we are gone. :]Such a wonderful Ugandan dad & mom to
us!!! What a wonderful ministry to be a part of this month!
Wow, I could sit here for hours telling you even more stories of how God has shown up to me this past month, but someone else wants to use the computer, Ha.
Obviously God has done so many wonders during our stay in Kampala, Uganda.
He has especially reminded me of the HOPE that He has given to me to keep trusting that He is real and that He is going to perform miracles.
THIS IS MY GOD.
Who cares if you question whether He is real or not… There are miracles being performed that can not be explained by my own human hands.
I have been there. I know how you feel. I’m still there now. But I have HOPE that my God is going to come through for me!
