OK, so maybe I’m not a basketball announcer, but you’ll
never believe that I WAS a basketball announcer last night.  Haha, yes.
Was I good at it?  No.  But at least I tried! 😛
We have been having a basketball tournament going on for the past week where
people make up their own teams from the surrounding towns and they play each
other.  Well last night I was handed the microphone
& was told that I was supposed to announce one of the games.  I will admit that I was awful at it.  But others definitely got some laughs from
it.  Oh yeah, I even sung for everyone.  I secretly loved it even no matter what
others say.  Who would have thought??

Anyways, we have also been up to deforesting the
rainforest.  Haha, yes yes it is
true.  Don’t tell any tree huggers though…and
sorry if you are one.  Juuust kidding,
but seriously… We have been clearing off some land near Pastor Al’s house to
create a little recreational area.  Pastor
Al & his friends have already made 2 legit ping pong tables & those are
a huge hit with the locals.
During this “deforesting” process, I have been in charge of picking up
rocks.  Honestly, it’s kind of annoying.  Picking up rocks, getting dirt under my
finger nails and getting eaten up by ants and ginormous spiders is not what I
call fun.  But knowing that what we are
doing is taking a load off of Pastor Al and other hard workers and also how it
will bring more joy to these people in this community keeps me pressing
on.  And getting dirty and super sweaty is
alright because we have a freezing cold river right around the corner to go
bathe in.

Another form of entertainment around here is karaoke.  I know I have said it before, but these
Filipinos LOVE their karaoke.  Karaoke is
ALWAYS blaring somewhere in this little village.  “I’m foreeeverrr youuurs…faithfully” song is
starting to get real old as the family living across the way plays it every
single minute of every single day.  I
heard it at 6am this morning…ridiculous.
But I know that I will miss it once we leave.

AWESOME thing going on this afternoon/evening is what I
would like to term as “woman’s day”.  This “women’s day” is [obviously] for women in
this area.  I am REALLY excited about it because
this is what my heart dreams about!  We
have invited all of the women in the village to come over and we are planning
to wash their feet, paint their nails, give them feet & hand massages, and
worship with them.  It is going to be
absolutely amazing as the Lord is opening up this door for us to minister to and
serve these women!  God has amazing plans
for this and I know that He is all in it and ready to remind his daughters how
beautiful and how loved they truly are!
Please keep this event in your prayers as we follow the Spirit’s leading and
guidance.  It will be taking place about 3am
your time on Friday morning, so I understand that you might not be reading this
blog until later in the day on Friday.
If so, just continue to pray for these women’s hearts and what God is
speaking to them even after this small event has taken place.  I have no idea how many women will show up or
what their views of the Lord are so this could be really awesome.  I just can’t wait to tell you all about this
day and what the Lord will do!

A few of us had some spiritual attacks during the night last
night, which were huge confirmations of what the Lord wants to do through us
today.  The enemy is not happy about the
Lord’s plans which is totally understandable…but we are NOT going to let him
take over and discourage us.  So we would
love your prayers for our hearts and minds as well.  The Lord has already won the victory and we
are claiming it for us and for His daughters.

Praise the Lord for what He has done and will continue to do
through my team!
