Hello! I am so excited to tell you a little bit about myself and excited
to get to know you as well! As Belle, my favorite Disney princess from Beauty and the Beast, says, “I want
adventure in the great wide somewhere. I want it more than I can tell. I want
so much more than they’ve got planned.” Adventure is pretty much the metaphor of my life story, so
let me tell you a little bit about my adventurous life that I lead. 🙂

My name is Carmen Record and I am
from Kernersville, North Carolina.
I am currently a student at Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU) in Marion,
Indiana studying Mathematics. If you ask me what in the world I am planning to do with math…I have no idea! But God does, so I am leaving those details up to him. 🙂

I have grown up in a loving
Christian home all of my life with my mom, dad and younger brother Brooks. Brooks joined me at IWU this year, so it has been a ton of fun having him around my life in
Indiana. My family has been such
an encouragement and role model to me.
They are always supporting me with pretty much anything that I do! Which is such a blessing especially
when God brings something like The World Race into my life. 🙂 I really couldn’t ask for a better
family! As well as an awesome family of friends who both encourage and challenge me in my walk with the Lord in so many ways.

loves traveling. I am thankful for
a family who has provided me with opportunities to travel. I am also thankful that I have parents
who have placed such a priority on serving others through missions. Speaking of missions trips, I have been
to Mexico a few times, Costa Rica, Zambia, and Guatemala the past 2
summers. I also had the amazing
opportunity to lead a group of 5 of my peers from IWU to New Zealand last May,
which was such a growing experience for me. I am so excited to see all of the places the Lord will take me over this next year of my life and all of the wonderful people that I will meet!

Whether it is looking at the clouds, stars, sunsets, sunrises,

I love butterflies. They are what I like to call my “God

myself…and normally I wouldn’t admit this, but… When I see numbers, I feel the
need to add them up. It drives me
crazy sometimes especially when driving down the road and I see license plates
with numbers or billboards. Ahhh
just thinking about it drives me crazy!
Yeah, if you didn’t think I was weird already, you definitely think so
now hehe.
