Month number nine came and went.
We had fresh teams, some of our parents visited and we were being thrown into different ministries we had yet to experience on the race. Some of us were serving at a cafe as well as hosting open mic nights for worship, some were living in a village doing construction and others were doing bar ministry in the red light district. Oh and our men were separated from us!
Hello March Madness.
All the beautiful women of H Squad were divided into six different teams. Four of those teams, Team Swag (my team!), Team Jubilee, Team RAW(r) and Team Consumed lived in the city of Chiang Mai Thailand. We all had the same wonderful contact named Emmi. She started out the month by placing two teams working at her coffee shop serving and playing music. The other two teams were placed playing with the slum children during the day and visiting the women in the red light district at night. Right when we were getting comfortable with our ministry, God throws a twist. With barely a week left (in our month and Emmi's shop's lease) Emmi was blessed with a brand new building. And the best part? It was right on the edge of the red light district, right next to a karaoke bar.
Watch and see how these four teams of amazing, Godly women move an entire coffee shop in between slums and bars and still manage to look beautiful!
