Why I’ve QUIT listening to “Me”
There’s something I’ve learned through the years. Something that I struggled with an immense amount and that was my own control. You see so often we ourselves feel as though we need to control everything in the lives around us. We choose the particular school, the job, the significant other, our friends, where we want to live, yadiyadiyada (If that isn’t a real word.. it should be) Whatever the decision. We have this “grand idea” of what our life should really be like. It’s in our nature to want to control things. But what happens when “our plans” don’t happen. What happens when the job doesn’t come through, or we get betrayed, or are just left feeling abandon. And things just don’t work out how “we planned”. I’m sure it’s happened to you- whatever the case.
And for me at least that’s why I’ve quit listening to “Me” and my level of control.. along with the lies of the enemy.
My question is what if the things that we are trying to have and control are really the same things that we shouldn’t have any part of? Or are the very things that are distracting us from what the Lord has put in our hearts to do?
What if God has a plan better than our own? (well hate to burst your bubble.. but he is the creator of the Universe of course he does…!) The truth is he does have a plan better than our own, but will we choose to follow it ? Will we follow what the Lord has called us to do even when we are faced with unbearable odds? Will we be obedient in seasons where we feel as though we never can catch a break?
I’m telling you real breakthrough happens when we trust God in the pits of despair. When things just plain out hurt. This is when we can cling to that cross the most and endure the giants and many trials in our life.
& Sometimes you just have to FAITH it till you make it, and quit listening to the lies that the enemy is putting into our spirit’s.
In his word God says:
“I will NOT cause PAIN without allowing something new to be born, says the Lord”
Isaiah 66:9
“God has a reason for allowing things to happen. We may not understand his wisdoms, but we simply have to TRUST HIS WILL.”
Psalm 37:5
and my favorite: I like it so much i have it plastered on my wall: Romans 8:28

If anybody has anything bothering them or anything that they need prayer for, and feel comfortable telling me.. Know I’m always here to try to help you and pray for you. I love you all- God bless!
