A lot has happened since arriving at the orphanage here in Bulawayo Africa. There’s been a lot of joy living with 80 kiddos, but there also has been a lot of questioning in my walk with the Lord. I see all these kids daily who don’t have a mom or dad. Many who were abused- both physically and sexually. Many who were involved in sex trafficking. Many who have AIDS. And all these stories I hear – day in and day out. My heart breaks. My heart and mind is swirling with emotions, and I realize it’s been effecting me. I want to help everyone, and there’s just so much need here in Zimbabwe. Theres a 96% unemployment rate…. It seems unreal, but this is there reality.

So what can I possibly do to help ? What can I do that can make a difference ? What can one person really do? Where is God in this mess? That’s what I’ve been questioning a lot.

It wasn’t until today as I looked down at a sweet little child on my lap crying. Her tears created a pool of water on my shirt. I reminded her that I was here for her, and so was Jesus.
Jesus is here. He hasn’t left or abandoned these sweet sweet children. And he hasn’t abandoned me, or you.

Sometimes we harden our hearts and lose our touch with Jesus. We get distracted by what is around us, or discouraged about the present situation that we are in.

But Don’t let your hearts be troubled the word says. “In this world you will have trouble, but take heart” for I have overcome the World” , my friends, God is alive! He is just a whisper away. Come to him, and he will fill you up. It’s okay to Be frustrated when we don’t understand everything God is doing, but it’s in those moments where we really learn who God is.

Allow the confusion, the questions, the heartache, and the loneliness to push you deeper into Gods presence.

I see that my purpose being here is to just be here, to remind others that God is not done, and to encourage those around me that this isn’t all there is, And that this isn’t the end deal.

We have an eternal home and hope that will be so sweet. Jesus is our HOPE of glory .

And just as Jesus was 1 man who was born in a little town of Bethlehem.. He made such an impact to the world, and so you are just 1 person and can also make a huge impact for Christ as well if you allow him to use you.

Sometimes the biggest ministry you can do is to simply..

be there –
