Well hello! Namaste!

It’s been awhile since we last talked. I’m Sorry I’ve been absent in the blogging world. I’ve Been busy, and wifi here in Nepal has been really spotty in the mountains. I’ve been off the grid with no wifi for the past 3 weeks. And haven’t taken a shower in 1! Lol But A lot has happened since we last talked. I’ll probably be posting a few blogs in the next few days to catch you guys up.
But anyways..
I arrived in Nepal well almost a month ago now and had a bit of a debrief with my team and explored the touristy area of Kathmandu Nepal for a few days to get some much needed rest and to see the new country we would be staying at for ministry.
We stayed in a hostel for a few days which was pretty neat. For those of you who don’t know what a hostel is.. it basically is a house that has several rooms. And in those rooms there are several beds.
In our hostel there were bunk beds. And we were assigned a bed and that’s where we would sleep. But some of the rooms my teammates would sleep in the room with complete strangers.
And for bathrooms it was coed. So we would use the bathroom or take a shower next to a complete stranger of the opposite sex.
That was different Forsure.
But Kathmandu is so beautiful.
Kathmandu is known for trekkers who hike Mount Everest. There are a lot of people here searching to find there happiness. Or searching for something to fulfill there desires. Or voids in there life.
There’s a lot of searching I see out of the tourists I’ve came into contact with, but that goes for the Nepali natives as well.
The majority of Nepal’s religious beliefs are Hindu. They believe in several gods and idol worship. Sacrifices and rituals. We actually have been staying in Nepal when there biggest festival of the year has been taking place called the Festival of Lights which gives worship to some of there gods or people or even animals.
The kids go around at night dancing and yelling and banging on doors asking for fruits or food or money to put at the altars they set up for there gods.
A kid actually lit a firework and threw it at our door until we came out to answer him.
Crazy stuff I tell ya!
Stay tuned ! There’s more coming your way!
I’ll post more about ministry and things I’ve been up to soon !
And pictures are having a hard time loading on my blog so if you’d like to see more pictures of Nepal check out my facebook!
Much love as always,
Carly Roselle
