Happy thanksgiving !
This year is definelty a different one for me being 8,000 miles away from home in Zimbabwe. And being away for the holidays isn’t exactly easy, especially when I see everyone is with there families celebrating.

But as I sit here with my team eating some cookies we made in our little oven and sitting around saying what we are grateful for, I realize how fortune we really are.
The past 2 weeks I’ve been living at an orphanage( Which I’ll probably expand on at the end of this month in further detail) But I’ve been living with 80 children. Some old and some young. Many abandoned and many abused. They all have a very unique stories.

As I’m here I can’t help but to be grateful. The days haven’t been easy, the food hasn’t been up to par always, but God has been good through this. It’s hard for me to be ungrateful when at home I have so much. When I see children every single day who have rocks that they play jacks with, or a half of a Barbie dolls leg that they have so much fun with. I begin to realize that gratefulness is all in the heart. It’s not in how much you are given. It’s not how much you have.. it’s a condition of the heart.

What I see here is thankfulness. Kids here are thankful for just our love. They love to just spend time with us. And if the least that I can do is love on some kids. I’m going to love on them well, like my good pal JC

My challenge for you today and everyday is to love the people the Lord has given you. Love them without having an agenda. And thank them for all that they do.

I hope and pray that you have a great thanksgiving!

Sending my love back home! Eat some turkey for me and some pumpkin pie too!
