My team.
My team has taught me to love better, laugh harder, and embrace the broken.
They have taught me to be who I am and never apologize for it
They have taught me the importance of confidentiality and how safe I am around them
They have taught me how powerful my worlds are and the wisdom I have to share
They have showed me why I love people so well
They make me feel heard. And loved.
And on days when I don’t believe in myself they speak so much life in me.
When I don’t feel worthy they make my worth known
When I doubt myself they remind me how much I bring to the world
When I feel like I’m not enough they remind me of my Fathers never ending love
When I don’t see my beauty they speak confidence in me
When I don’t feel brave they remind me I’m BOLD
When I question who I am they remind me of the strong, loved, beautiful, joyful, woman I am
They push me out of my comfort zones and make me strive to be the woman God has in store for me.
They cry with me
Laugh with me
Act weird with me
Love with me
Grow with me
And teach me more than I think they know
These girls bring so much joy into my life
They bring life back into me
They heal my brokenness
They speak love over me
They listen when I speak
They give grace when I need it most
They pick me up when I fall
And they allow me to grow from who I used to be and leave my past behind
I have been with these girls for 2 months and in those two months I have experienced so much growth and love that I didn’t think was possible. They make me laugh when I don’t want to but they know that’s what I need. They take care of me when I can’t take care of myself. They show me Gods love every. Single. Day. They never push me to be someone I’m not but help guide me to be the person they know I will be. These girls were God sent and I knew when I came on this race I would make a difference in so many lives, but I didn’t realize 7 girls could change mine so much.
They’re not just my team.
They’re my family.
