Dear Family and Friends,
I wanted to share with you a little about what God has been doing in my life the last few years and to bring you up to date with an incredible opportunity He has brought me to recently. Since graduating high school, the last 3 years could be described in one word as “interesting”; my life has definitely not gone how I would have thought or planned. After deciding that for the time college wasn’t where the Lord wanted me and then feeling He was saying I wasn’t quite ready to be on the mission field, I was a little confused. While in this state of not fully understanding His will for me, but having to wholly trust that He knows what’s best, He has shown me so much more about who I am, but more importantly who He is, and who I am in Him.
My personal testimony has been greatly impacted through short term missions. Even from age 14, God has used that in one of the biggest ways to transform my heart and walk with Him. As I’ve been questioning where my place is, the Lord has shared that it’s time to use that testimony and experience to encourage others in their own walk and show the world His love. Which brings me to share with you the first step in that process.
I have been accepted to go on The World Race. The World Race is an 11 month Christian mission and discipleship program through Adventures in Missions (AIM). We will be going to 11 different countries and will have the opportunity to work with and serve many different churches and communities. Our main focus will be to share the Gospel and love of Christ through: discipleship, children’s ministry, teaching English, construction, church planting, street ministry, as well as working with those affected by human trafficking. As of now we will be traveling to Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Cote d’lvoire, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Montenegro, Romania, Cambodia, Thailand, and will be ending our journey in Malaysia. This trip will be unlike any I’ve done in the past and will require lots of preparation and even more trust in the Lord. And just like any trip, prayer and financial support is greatly needed. To be a part of this incredible opportunity, I will need to raise over 16,000 dollars, which will cover all travel, lodging, insurance, and meals for the next year of my life. My first deadline is September 23rd and I will need to raise 5,000 by this date. Also, please be praying for me! Especially, that He would pour out physical and spiritual strength, as well as protection over me throughout this next year, as I will need it.
So this is an invitation to you to be a part of what God’s doing not only in my life, but more importantly the many people He will impact along the way. I feel daily, He is calling me into new depths with Him and is saying it’s time to let go fully and enter into the life He has before me.
