On my Facebook page I have been posting for each day of November something that I am thankful for. Well today’s was just SO GOOD I had to also post it as a blog!

Day 11: it’s long but so worth the read (I’m not biased or anything)

Wow wow wow. The Lord is so so good.

Listen to this.

So today, McKenzie and I were looking at lunch options and these two ladies told us to get the fries with the seasoning on them & we were asking how much one of the dishes cost and the owner told us $24. McKenzie & I were like nope that’s way out of our budget and so we were going to head somewhere else. At that moment one of the ladies said “are you going to eat here?” And we said “I don’t think so” and she goes, “sit down, let me buy you guys lunch. I have children, and you’re hungry let me feed you” and then we were like whaatttttt are you for real right now? So she tells the owner to ring up our meal and to include two drinks, she then tells us how great the lemonade is, so that’s what we order (it was amazing) and pays for our meal.

So we order a meal that is meant for two people (the one we asked about) both of us about to cry because what a blessing. So we start talking to her and we tell her that we are missionaries and she almost starts crying and says, “wow Holy Spirit telling me to feed His children”

In this past week alone the Lord has just brought blessing after blessing, even in the small things. And when you pray, He hears you. He has been answering prayers in abundance this week and wow I am in awe of how deeply the Father cares for His children.

Not only were McKenzie & I blessed, but Linda & Lori (the two women) got to see their obedience to the Lord be so fruitful when we got to share our story with them, and on top of that, the owner got to see what the love of Jesus looks like. He even said to her “I never see people like you” and took a photo with her.

Guys, seriously how cool is the Lord.

Obedience. That word just continues to come to mind, how often do we not obey what the Lord is telling us to do? It’s amazing to see the fruit that comes from simply obeying. I could go on and on about how the Lord has continually blessed me this week and at a later time I hope to share more about it.

I like to say I’m living my best life out here in the World Race, but living your best life is a choice, daily.

Is it always easy to be joyful? No. Is it always easy to not get annoyed with your teammates? No. Is it always easy to put others before yourself? No. But seriously, each and every day I want to be able to say I am living my best life and not just out here on the world race.

Look for all the ways that the Lord is working in your life, because I promise you, He is.

If the Lord is telling you to do something, do it. Even if it may be hard or uncomfortable because it is worth it. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
