Peru, what an amazing month.

This month in Peru we stayed with the Anderson family and wow were they exactly what we needed. Coming from a month where no one spoke English, this month was a breath of fresh air. Not only did our hosts speak English but they also had such a heart for each and every one of us. They sat down with us and asked us to share our testimonies, we watched movies together, went to Rainbow Mountain together, had house church with them and so many other things.

Our ministry was at the Josephine House which is an orphanage for children under the age of 3. While we were there we were able to help with laundry, dishes, feeding the children, and just loving on the children that were there. This was such a blessing, just being able to spend time with a bunch of two year olds who just wanted your love and affection. The Josephine House is such a beautiful ministry and they are doing such and amazing job with these children. They have tia’s (aunts) who are there to take care of the children and wow do these women go above and beyond for these children. They do SO much for them, whether it’s feeding, bathing, changing, cleaning, and so many other daily things that they do for these children. Watching them interact with the children, getting down on the floor with them to play with them, it was so beautiful to see all that is happening there. They also would like to expand and be able to take in more children, right now they have 13.

As for my team, this was our best month together yet and I cannot wait to see what this next month brings!

Heres some photos from the month!

Peru, I will be back. I have definitely left a piece of my heart at the Josephine House. What an amazing ministry and there is no other way I would’ve wanted to spend month three!
