~Daughters of the Vineyard~
As launch draws closer, I am feeling a wide range of emotions, but surprisingly and thankfully the biggest one is Peace. I know this isn’t of me, because I am definitely more the type of person to be nervous and anxious inside rather than calm and assured. That’s why God is awesome people! Never, and I mean NEVER would I do something crazy like this on my own, it’s all Him. I can’t believe this adventure of a lifetime starts in just a few weeks, OH EM GEE.
Anyway, I will be spending the next 11 months primarily with these lovely ladies! We are a team of 6 girls, and our team name is Daughters of the Vineyard. I’d like to introduce you all to my new sisters. Let’s meet the fam!
–Sha’terika–
Sha’terika (pronounced Shuh-terika) is our team leader and I’m so glad she is. She has natural leadership qualities yet she is super down to earth and sweet! She is incredibly humble, and has the best laugh ever! I know we’re going to have tons of fun together on the race. Ps she’s from Illinois! Neato!

–Lynn–
Lynn is one of the sweetest girls I’ve ever met. She’s always looking out for everyone, making sure they’re ok. She’s originally from Holland(!!!), has lived in Kansas, and now lives in Canada. This girl gets around. She has a degree in Dairy Management! Seriously this girl is super interesting and I can’t wait to learn more about her life. Also she has a cool accent and she looks exactly like one of my cousins. Not that that matters. I love Lynn!

–Vivian–
Vivian (or Viv as I’m already used to calling her) is a super gentle soul. She’s very softspoken and a great source of encouragement! She is also incredibly sweet and very real. She works as an elementary school teacher in Alaska! Oh and she’s a volunteer firefighter. She does it all!! She’s amazing!

–Sarah–
Sarah is hilarious! I love this girl’s personality and sense of genuineness. She is awesome in every sense of the word. Sarah also happens to be an incredibly talented singer! She studied voice in school, which makes her extra legit. She hails from North Carolina, she keeps it real sweet and southern. Also she likes cats which gives her +900 awesome points in my book.

–Kristina–
Kristina is a keeper! She was one of the first girls I met and I was so glad when I found out we were on the same team! She has an amazing sense of faith and I admire her in so many ways. Kristina is from Georgia, so lucky for her she didn’t need to travel far to training camp! I adore this girl’s smile and sense of humor. She is totally genuine and down to earth, which makes her quite frankly amazing to be around! I also really like her voice, I hope that doesn’t sound creepy. It’s just cool.

FUNDRAISING
-On another note, I am still in need of 50% of my funding!! I’m beyond thankful to be halfway funded but still need continued financial and prayerful support! This missions trip is not possible unless I am fully funded by February. If you can make any amount, small or not towards my cause I would be so grateful!
