Michael is one of the most giving, compassionate, and wise people that I have ever met, I know my life is forever changed for the better because of watching his example and learning how to “love well”. This promo video for The World Race came out today featuring my friend Michael and a spoken word piece that the Lord gave him to share.  Tonight I had the privilege of sitting in an apartment complex in Ongole, India hanging out with a “Real Life” team from America…thats right we sat down, ate grilled cheese, and talked about how incredible God has been throughout our lives- it was AWESOME! Real Life teams are sent out by Adventures in Missions (AIM) and are usually made up of college age peeps who commit to a 3 month missions trip abroad. Currently there are teams that are ministering in Nicaragua, Kenya, Thailand, and India.
One of the questions that this team asked us while watermelon juice dripped down our arms all over the floor, was would we honestly recommend The World Race?
All of us looked around and without even thinking yelled YES of course we would! I cannot think of a better way to spend a year of your life. If I’m being totally real this year has definitely had its challenges, it was hard being away for Christmas and being sick while climbing a mountain in Nepal, but I truly would not have traded this year for the entire world. These past 9 months of my life have been completely transforming of my character, I have made the most incredible life long friendships, and I have experienced and encountered the Lord in ways I never dreamed were possible. So YES, 1000 times YES I would recommend The World Race to anyone and everyone that asked me. I cannot guarantee it will be easy, I cannot guarantee that it will be comfortable or even that you’ll be healthy, but I can guarantee that you will experience the Lord, that you will realize He is working in incredible ways all over the world and actually DESIRES to use YOU to do His work! YES There is more to life than a dead end job, YES God IS bigger than someone you talk to before meals and on Sunday mornings, YES YOU can be used to open the eyes of the blind, bring freedom to the captives, spread hope to the hopeless, BE the light in the darkest of places….I want to testify that God has used me, and He wants to use YOU
