initially in Nairobi (a beautiful city) after a LONG 27 hour bus ride where we experienced
temperatures from both the Sahara and Siberian deserts I’m certain. Upon
arriving in Nairobi we were greeted at our hostel with candy and water on our
beds and pointed toward the food and hot showers (seriously I LOVE debriefs…our
logistics team is amazing!) After a long month of ministry with the same meals
and frigid showers I realize how grateful I am for the small things like a
delicious orange to eat and an amazing hot shower. 🙂

incredible short few days with our coaches who were flown in from the States to
encourage and pour into us. I must say I love our coaches a LOT and they are
truly some of the most incredible people I’ve ever met. When they come see us
(Months 3,5,8) it literally feels like our parents are coming to visit. So we
had an awesome time of fellowship and worship with our coaches and with
the AIM staff that came to debrief as well. The Holy Spirit showed up in some
HUGE ways and God was speaking/clarifying some things in my heart during this
debrief as I’d never experienced before. I will write another blog soon about
all of that though.

safari experience, so several of us piled into special vans and headed into the
bush. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the day. Even though we saw
no cats during the tour, a good time was had by all and I walked away in
complete awe of God’s creativity displayed in His incredible creation that I
saw that day.

After this wonderful time of fellowship with our coaches and
our entire squad it was quickly time to go our separate ways once again. Our
team headed back to the bus station and onto our 9 hour bus ride from Nairobi
to Kitale (an agricultural town in northern Kenya). We arrived at our new home
and were greeted by our incredible host family Moses and his family. Honestly
we have been here for only 3 days and I already feel that we are family. I
absolutely love how God went ahead of us preparing this perfect fit for our
time. We are enjoying amazing fellowship with our new family and I know I will
never be able to erase them from my heart.
