I was recently surfing The World Race site and came across one of our partner organizations called “Corridor of Hope”. Basically Corridor of Hope was created as a result of a participant returning from The World Race and not being able to just ignore the poverty they witnessed while traveling the globe! Sooo…this ministry was created to provide a way to sell products created in very poor places and sell them for the Kingdom’s benefit! It’s a really awesome organization…go check it out at:
Corridor of Hope has two artisan organizations which provide jewelry which they sell on their site and then send the money back to help these Thai women and children!
The first organization is called “The Well” based upon giving hope to women who have been involved in the sex industry in Thailand. “The Well is a Christian ministry in Thailand under Servantworks and other partner organizations. Its purpose is to love Thai bar girls and sex workers in the same way that Jesus loved that woman and others like her; to help her see and experience her true value as a creation by God, and to help her, her family and village indeed find their dream of a better life. The Well provides counseling, training, job development and other services to women and their family members.”
One of the testimonies from their website instantly touched my heart when I read it…please take time to explore The Well’s website and read some of the amazing stories of Jesus’ transforming love in these women’s lives!

The second artisan organization is called “SHE Thailand“. ‘

Started in 2006, SHE (Self Help and Empowerment) is a Christian charity committed to helping women and children at risk in Thailand, many of whom are trapped in the commercial sex trade. SHE is dedicated to providing employment, vocational training and counseling for women who want to help themselves out of this industry. All proceeds go directly to helping them find employment, community, friendship, restoration, and above all restoration of their own value.

Both of these artisan organization along with Corridor of HOPE are providing tangible ways for the women and children who are at risk in Thailand….they are literally examples of being Christ’s “hands and feet” to the broken and oppressed. My heart breaks for these women who believe the only way to feed their family is through selling their bodies and souls to the sex trade- what an incredible HOPE these organizations are providing…by following Christ’s call not to judge but to live Christ’s LOVE outloud by reaching these women daily right where they are at and providing them ways to escape their lives of bondage.
I CAN’T WAIT to get to Thailand and be a part of bringing HOPE to the darkest of places!!!
