Should hearing God’s voice once, about the next step in life be enough? For me it’s always hard just to jump right into something. I always want more confirmations before I go for it. God knows I am like this, so He continuously has to confirmed His plans with me. Over this past year I have learned to said “yes” to God and stepping out in faith. Once again, His plan is way bigger than mine and I want more confirmations but I have already had so many about what is next. I am following His heart for the nations!
While I was apart of an organization called Youth With A Mission (YWAM). I had several encounters with God about the nations and how I am a key for freedom for others. Yes, God is the ultimate key for freedom but He uses people as tools to reach others. There was a time that I got a little card from someone I didn’t know and it said “Just say YES to God! Go, go, go!” I found the person and asked them about why they wrote that. They had actually gotten an image of me going from nation to nation to nation, spreading God’s love. If that’s not a confirmation… I don’t know what is!
But still I needed another one… As humans we attend to get wrapped up in the way of the world’s possibilities and not God’s. The all knowing Father, knows that already. Confirmation number two comes into play. A staff at YWAM had said he wanted to share what came up when he prayed for me. There was an image of a dandelion, noone had blown on it because they had not wished for anything. God wanted me to wish for something, anything. He is a giving God and wants to give us gifts because we are His children. The next image was blank checks. God has already made a way for me to GO! All I have to do is follow Him and have faith that He will provide. I have had several other confirmations with dreams, words of wisdoms, and encouragement from people around me.
When telling people that I am going on the World Race mission trip to 11 different countries in 11 months. They always ask how much is that?!?!? We all want to go and travel but always think about the money part of it. That’s how we are raised from generation to generation. Well I’m breaking that mentality in my own life, because I know a Father that loves deeper than any human and provides more than anyone I know. When folks hear that it’s $18,000 they think that it’s impossible. I have had people in the church tell me “Realistically it probably won’t happen, you only have 8 months to get that.” or “Realistically that’s too much to get because there is no job that is going to cover that”. Now I don’t have a problem with them saying that to me. Yes, it is a lot in a very short amount of time. BUT! Realistically God is bigger than us. Realistically God is a god of the impossible.
I have seen God move in ways I don’t understand or comprehend. What I do understand is God is good. He doesn’t put you in a situation you can’t handle. He grows your faith with Him when challenges arise. So I am following what is true… Jesus. The one who gave it all so we can have it all!
