Sometimes it feels like difficult and lonely seasons will never end. Especially if those seasons last a couple of years.

Lately, I’ve been so blessed by community. I cannot express the importance of being surrounded by those who encourage you and lift you up. I have recently come out of a season that has been the hardest I have ever faced. It was a very lonely road. It would be nice to blame someone else for the choices I made and the people I surrounded myself with, but there is no one else to blame. People say that in relationships communication is key, which I can agree with. I say in college and even throughout all walks of life, community is key.

I am blessed by the women in my small group. I spent a week out of the country with these women and they are amazing. I am blessed by the women I have lived with, worked with, and people I know from my church.

I am extremely thankful for the people in my life. If you can’t tell 🙂

One of the very things I am looking forward to about the Race, is community. I can’t wait to meet the people who share the same passion that I do. Although there will be differences between my team-mates and I, our hearts will be beating for the same purpose.

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why for Christ’s sake I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” -2nd Corinthians 12:9-10
