I’ve finished the race. An 11 months has come to an end. Some might say a year.. “I have finished a year of missions”.
But it’s more than that. It is more than a time limit.
It is an indescribable journey, where each month can feel like either a week or a year. It’s like a magical time warp, Because the race is not just a year of missions, it is 11 country’s and a bunch of people that change your life… Forever.
The race is over. But my life isn’t.
This week was spent at Project Searchlight. A week, about a month after the race, that is scheduled for Us racers that just finished. For me to see my family, to rest, to hear The Lord, to hear incredible wisdom. A piece of wisdom that has given me some of the greatest wisdom I have ever received came from a poem. A poem read to us by one of the speakers, who described how to keep going, how to know what our future holds!

“What can I say that I have not said before?
So I’ll say it again.
The leaf has a song in it. Stone is the face of patience. Inside the river there is an unfinishable story, and you are somewhere in it, and it will never end until all ends.
Take your busy heart to the art museum and the chamber of commerce, but take it also to the forest.
The song you heard singing in the leaf when you were a child is singing still.
I am of years lived, so far, seventy-four and the leaf is singing still.”

Well… Now do you see it, do you get the secret of life lol? Our speaker suggested this.. Think about this poem, what stands out to you, and what is that “singing” that is still moving in you? What can YOU hear?
This is what I hear.
The forest is still, it’s quite and calm. It’s moving, but it is moving with the patterns of life, that will never end. It does not move because it is making itself move. It is not busy because it is giving itself something to do. The leaf blows in the wind because it is light and it is taken by it. The river flows because there is a hill going downstream. It’s gravity. These movements have been crafted by a much greater plan.
Gods purpose for us is Natural, it is happening around us and to us because it is apart of the pattern of life we are on. As long as we are not active in ‘wearing a jacket’ to block the wind, or ‘standing still’ in the river moving downstream.
Pick your feet up and move with what is happening around you, god has made us to move with him and move in what he has already doing, not to stand still and wait for something to force us into the river.
