But what if…..
- I am the oldest person in my group and have a hard time relating to others.
- I get really sick, or someone in my family gets really sick.
- I miss my chance to fall in love and get married.
- The funds don't come in and I have to leave early, or worse yet, not go.
- I get into a situation where I have no idea what to do.
- I come face to face with a spider the size of hand.
So instead of letting Satan claim the victory here, I am going to choose to believe the truth:
- God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind (2 Tim. 1:7)
- You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day. (Deut 8:18)
- Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. (2. Cor. 3:5-6)
- let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith… (Hebrews 12:2)
- The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein (Ps. 24:1)
- But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers. (Luke 22:32)??
If God is who He says He is, then I can believe I am who He says I am.
