Training camp finally happened and oh boy am I even more hyped about this journey than ever before. I honestly don’t even know where to start this blog, but I hope the little bit I share will get you super excited as well.

Let me start with my squad, I am sure all the squads are cool, but yall, my squad is lit. I don’t say it just to say it, I truly think the Lord did a pretty awesome job putting us together. In ten days they challenged me, encouraged me, prayed for me and loved me so so well. I can’t wait to spend the next 11 months with them.

Next, the foooood y’all!! We pretended to be in different parts of the world everyday and ate accordingly. Few days we ate with our hands and it’s pretty convenient once you get used to it. Funny side story, we went to a restaurant on day 7 and one of my friends started eating my salad with her hands and I didn’t even notice until she looked at me and said: why am I eating with my hands?!? I am telling you, once you get comfortable with it you are good to go. The food situation just added anticipation to emerge and embrace the different cultures and their traditions.

Last but surely not least, THE LORD! The Lord reminded me of something I pretty much forgot and I’m still on cloud 9. The story begins 5 years ago when I first started following Jesus. I was so eager to go to the ends of the world I searched for missions around the world to go and make His name know. That was the first time I heard about the world race and since then I have been wanting to do it. Well, at that point it wasn’t the right time for the trip and the Lord knew it. Fast forward a little bit and the Lord said: “go to Liberty, learn and then I will send you.” Did you catch that? Did you catch the fulfillment of a promise He made with me 4 years ago? For the past few months, He has been drilling me with the idea of who He is as a promise keeper and as a God of covenant. Clearly I was not putting A and B together, yet He kept teaching me. Last week when He opened my eyes to the promise I was shaken. It so rocked my world the day it hit me, it hit me because it was so personal. He made that promise to me, one I pretty much forgot, but He didn’t and He followed through.

For me, that’s one of the most beautiful attributes of our Father. He delights in us and wants to be extremely personal. He doesn’t have to make it so personal yet He does and is so powerful. It was such a sweet reminder that He sees me, hard to put in words but I know He sees me. Camp took me back to the truth that we are loved beyond what we can comprehend and that alone will forever rock my world.
