Fellow M squad racers,
We freaking did it! Thank you for this journey. I’m not one to write many notes or letters but this occasion calls for one. To think only a year ago we were complete strangers. Look at us now, fighting tears back so our eyes don’t look like trash. I told people so many times I wasn’t going to cry, that I was just going to pretend it’s all just fine. Told myself enough times girl it’s alright, just one more simple goodbye. But then final debrief arrived and the tear fight began. First worship night and as I looked around my heart just sank. I even had to check out, had to remind my heart it’s just one more simple goodbye. Fast forward few days and I no longer seem to be able to hold the tears back. Silly me to think it was ever going to be just one more simple goodbye.
M squad you have a piece of my heart. You made me a better human. You helped me to always look towards Christ. I truly thank God for you guys. Thanks for making saying goodbye not one more simple one but one that is real hard.
So here’s one last thank you for the legacy you left in my heart:
