Like every other blog, I never know where to start. El Camino was more than I ever thought it would be. It was definitely a bucket list thing that I won’t forget. I need to come back and finish it, it is breathtaking and worth every sore muscle and every blister. The whole thing is a constant reminder of our Creator. The valleys, the mountains, the flowers and everything simply brings it back to His might and His love for us. I really cant find enough words to express the beauty I encountered. Not just in the views but also in the people I got to share this with. I met people from all over the world, most of them walking El Camino searching for something. Truly awesome people with open hearts to embrace what El Camino has to offer. Trust me when I say that it is a special road. The Spirit of the Lord is all over that place drawing hearts to Himself. People longing for community and its awesome to see how it is formed.
One of my favorite nights was the day the Lord asked us to bring His kingdom to the dinner table. We went to the grocery store, got some good stuff to make mexican food and cooked for 15 plus people. The table was EPIC! The table had people from the States, Italy, Spain, France, Hungry, England, Russia and Mexico!! It was a picture of His kingdom, where many nations came together. We laughed and shared stories and you know, did whatever you do when you spend a long time around a table. I guess Spain reminded me a lot about how much people around the world have in common. We are more similar than I think we realize. I guess we all long to love and be loved. We long for connections and people to share this crazy ride with. To say the least, I am incredibly thankful for the long walks that allowed us to spend time with God and other people. I am greatful for the miles that ultimately reminded me that God is love and His love is what we all are searching for.
