This last month we spent off the grid in Ethiopia. We were 2 hours away from the nearest city in a little village in the rolling wheat fields of Africa. We lived and did ministry on the HOPEthiopia ministry site for 4 weeks. Our ministry looked like making bricks to build a special needs home. We sifted dirt to make the bricks, we cut wheat with sickles, taught english to the 24 orphans that lived there, we planned fun kid activities, did prayer walks, made a garden, helped the house moms, the list goes on. Basically we did what was needed and reaped a reward of building amazing relationships while we fell in love with Ethiopia.
One of my squad mates, Alex Banks, put together a great video of our month in Ethiopia. I hope this video makes you smile as much as it makes me.

Ps- We made it to Rwanda safely and have enjoyed a day debrief as a squad. Today we are going to our ministry locations scattered across Rwanda. My team will be partnering with a ministry that will keep us busy preaching, teaching english, and building the church community!
Thank you for all the prayers and support! More updates about our month in Ethiopia to come.
Love, Carla
