Another phenomenon of preparing for a missions trip is the kind of whirlwind it puts you in. It seems like if you plan to be gone 1 week, 1 month, or 5 that always remains the same.
Opportunities true and false seem to present themselves like a dangling carrot. So many come your way that the sorting out process can overwhelm you. These can be job opportunities, other missions opportunities you name it.
For me please continue to pray that God will guide me in making the choices that please him most
Realtionships Every relationship in your life seems to be magnified. You spend more time protecting your heart…the well spring of life and building relationships old and new. An everyday ordinary experience can seem life changing.
For me continue to pray God will continue to surround me with like minded people
Health is always a big deal when preparing for a trip wondering am I well enough, in shape enough, physically able to do what God is calling me to do. Since I was accepted for the trip I have had oral surgery, a foot injury, and a shoulder injury. Last time before I left for Asia I tumbled down a flight of stairs and landed on my knees on the cement….ouchie !
For me please continue to pray for my health and that of the team
Like I said whirlwind but a good whirlwind; as a wise person once told me it is the difficulty of the task that makes it worth doing and in this case it is also what we are fighting for that makes it worth doing.
