Today we had our first day at the ministry where we will be assigned for one month. Our 6 teammates and I will be working with ladies who are attempting to come out of prostitution and those that are at risk for it. We will each be responsible for differnet tasks; they plan to share more of what they need with us tomorrow.
The ministry that we have come to serve of course has served us so much already; this tends to be a theme everywhere I have gone in the past two years. The people we think we are coming to serve always seem to give us so much more.
Tomorrow morning we will have a devotional time with our team, then head out for a Cambodian history lesson (the sight of a massive genocide here), then we will head to the ministry site to meet more of the women and get our begining tasks.
The people at the ministry really have a heartfelt desire to provide systems, business, and education to these precious women to make victories in stopping the cycle of Human Trafficking.
My ears perked up with some of the things that they said we may get to do. I must say it was not what I expected but it was what expected me !
