So I asked my seven year old niece today if she wants to be a missionary; she told me no because she does not want to talk to scary people. I explained that the truth of the matter is that they are more scared of us then we could ever be of them…we are on there turf.
Missions to me sets such a fire in my heart and well I want everybody to feel that same fire; even my 7 year old niece but the truth is not all are called and not all want to go but I sure do get excited when somebody makes the decision to get out of this plastic coated USA of ours and venture outside of themselves and outside of who they know themselves to be.
Since I have committed to this trip I have had two friends begin praying about if missions are for them, and for me that says Christ is working in the lives of those around me! The fire is catching ….
If you just want be more grateful for what it is you have
If you feel led to make a greater kingdom impact
If you want more of what God has to offer and have the opportunity to see his miracles in person minute by minute
Then maybe it is time you start praying if missions are for you
Like I said there are not scary people we were just as scary until Christ saved us and remember:
For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love,
and of a sound mind. 2 Tim. 1:7
