It is so hard to believe that week 2 of Cambodia ministry is already upon us. The team and I are really enjoying the ministry wer are connected with, our contacts, and the girls we are serving. Myself and the ministries intern created an English lesson for the girls who work at the salon business day before yesterday. We got to teach it yesterday and I do not know who had a better time us or them. Every time we would speak in English they would laugh then try to figure it out. The hardest word for them is Help; they pronounce it Hop. They are even better at the English today then they were yesterday. When I left the salon today one of the girls told me; Thank you for coming which is one of the phrases we tought them yesterday.
Last night we had an amazing team of worship on the roof with all of our group; we were so loud we overcame the dragon dancing with drums which goes on for about 4 hours a night just a few steps from our door. It was great to turn aroung and see the Hostil workers from where we are staying dancing and doing worship along with us.
Today they filmed a movie at the salon about one of the gals who is really an overcomer; they used me as an extra for a few seconds and gave me a shoulder massage. These girls are just so happy to have a different life; it blesses me. Today we also had a time of prayer for breaking strongholds of sexual abuse and for the restoration of those affected.
Tomorrow will be busy too…we will do some special interceeding for a group of men who will go out to bars and minister to those soliciting prostitution. Please send up special prayers for them, pray for the men and boys of Cambodia that are also victims of abuse, and please pray for our team that we may help break the strongholds that tie this place in the mighty name of Jesus.
