Training Camp Story # 2
Has anyone ever been to a church inside an Airport other than me ? I have to say when I arrived in Georgia and saw the airport church with its stained glass windows I did not know quite what to think.
The Chaplin made his way through the crowd inviting anyone who would come to hear; reminded me of the times that people pushed their way through the crowd to see Jesus.
If the Chaplin would have been Jesus perhaps we would have had more than 7 people in that airport church. The few that came were weary travelers, seminar goes, cleaning staff, a soldier headed back to Afghanistan, and one world racer (moi).
I almost felt overtaken with the Holy Spirit in that place; the message he gave about operating from Gods balm of love and peace really struck me. Even though we were all headed are own directions that day we were going to be the balm. Everyone has an opportunity to rub off Gods love on someone else.
At the end of the service we held hands and prayed for Tom the Soldier and sent him out with love.
I think everybody should go to airport church at least once !
