We’re in Morogoro, Tanzania for the month.  I like it.  A lot.  It is beautiful (as you can see) and the weather is amazing – it feels like early fall, and I love it (even though it reminds me of how much I’m going to miss football season).  Ministry is also good and though we are doing generally the same things every day (door to door, preaching, teaching, just hanging out talking with people…) every day is unique and full of amazing opportunities.  I could go on and on trying to describe Morogoro and every day life here, but a picture is worth 1000 words,
so I’ll let the pictures speak mostly for themselves.  enjoy.

This is where Nate and I live this month.  Pink house.  We sleep in our tents because of mosquitoes.  Sure the showers are cold and the sleeping pad isn’t the comfiest thing in the world, but I like it.

This is where we go to church – Pentecostal Holiness Mission.

Some “local” food.  Chips (french fries) and a fried egg.  Sometimes they put the fries in the egg and call it an omelette.  Pretty delicious.

This is how we get around.  They are small 15 passenger vans called dalas here (mutatus in Kenya).  Today I was in one that had 31 people crammed inside.  It was snug.

This is a hedgehog I found one night – in a hedge.  This is basically the extent of the wildlife we’ve seen here.

This is our walk home every day.  It’s a great way to finish the day.

More door to door storytelling this month has been great. We’ve met a ton of great people and gotten to share so much.

the team.

me.

Tomorrow we’re heading to Zanzibar for a couple days to meet with our squad leaders and have some team time.  I’m pretty excited about it.  When we get back, we leave for a Maasai village for four days.  Things are getting very interesting.

Please continue to pray for us – for safety, health, unity, intimacy, and to continually hear God’s voice more clearly.

Mungu aku bariki.
(God bless.)
