The Four P’s

PAINT,PIGS,POOP,PROVERBS!!!

We are all here in Albania!!! Our whole squad together for a second time. I actually was hoping not to be all together again; but it has been such a blessing for me.  I am so thankful that God works everything together for good.  I have had a group of amazing friends to hang out with, I feel wanted!!! This is something I had been struggling with in the past few weeks and look God had his eye on me.  I have enjoyed being able to get to know more squad mates, watch movies, work together with different people, and so much more!  God has blessed me with an amazing groiup of friends to hang out with!!!! We actually have been so blessed this month aslo, because we were supposed to be staying in tents.  But, God has provided us with dorms and bunkbeds!

This month we are working on a farm/campground.  Our squad is here to help improve and prepare for camp in the summer. Every summer children from Albania come and go to this summer camp.  We have been doing such things as painting fences, moving rocks, wood, watching sheep, shoveling pig poop, moving heavy objects, lots of random organization jobs, and inventory of things on the campground.  We are all broken up according to interests we wrote down on paper. 

So this is where Paint, Pigs, Poop, and Proverbs come into play.  We started working this past Monday and I was put on the paint team!  For the first four days of working the team I was placed on was sanding and painting a black metal fence, imagine paint everywhere.  I still have black paint on my arms and legs after four days. haha.  One great thing about the painting was the converstations we had with whoever was next to us painting.  Many times it was like God placed that person there for a reason, so we could learn things from each other.  It was great.  Pigs and Poop come in on our last day of work this past week.  I got placed on the Smart team to put things together and organzie things; haha when we did all of our jobs we ended up having to shovel pig poop that had been around in a pile for quite awhile.  After that we got to go into the pig barn and move straw and hay around, clean up a little, and then bring a lot of heavy farm obejects into store there.  It was quite interesting.. picking up a hay bail there was tons of bugs under.  Also jumping mice popped out of a hay bail.. Four girls screaming because of mice popping out. haha They were so tiny, but mice yuckkkk.  Proverbs is my last P, we were challenged as a squad by our contact to go through the book of Proverbs and Matthew while we were here.  Our contact will mostly lead the Proverbs study and one of us leads the Matthew study.  It was been hard for me to sit through two Bible studies a day.  But, it's one thing I need to work on is learning how to study more fromt he Bible.  I believe by the end of the month I may accomplish this.  WIth God anything is possible!!!!!!
