Hello y’all!
I have some great news!!! I’m finally fully funded!!! Praise God!!! It’s all thanks to God and all of you! I could not have done any of this without you. I remember writing this a few
Months ago; some go, some give, and some pray. All are equally important. So thank you for doing your part in this. I pray that God will continually bless you all.
So now for a quick update!
This is now our final month in Africa. Crazy huh!? Time flies. We are in Rwanda this month. Which has been spectacular so far. This month our squad was broken up so we could have manistry and feministry. Manistry being where all eight of our guys spend the month together doing ministry side by side, as well as ministering to each other during this time. I am so proud of our guys! They are so amazing. They deserve this month! Love you guys!
Then comes feministry this is where the ladies do ministry together and live in community. Although since there are so many of us, we are split up into two groups. It had been a great month so far! The two teams we get the pleasure of spending the month with; are two teams I have never been with. It’s been great getting to know them. This month we have been leading a ladies devotion in the morning, preaching, leading worship, prayer walks, and kids groups! I preach my first sermon on Wednesday so please be praying! Along with ministry we have the opportunity to minister to each other. We have been doing group Bible study, worship, triple team time, engaging in conversation, exercising, and such. It’s so good!! This month actually I’m learning guitar!!!! Which is something I’ve wanted to For the past few months.
As we wind down these last few weeks in Africa, I am reminded of what Jeremy reminded us in our recent debrief. “DIG IN!” So I am going to pour out as much of me as I can in these last few weeks here in Africa! Trusting that God will refill me for China!!! Please be praying for us in these last few months. Decembers going to come faster than expected!!!
Also another little embarrassing fact… A few weeks ago I was thinking wow it’s month nine and I still haven’t gotten to the point of being so sick I would accidentally poop my pants… Well I had thought to soon. Surprise surprise… I was so sick the other day I pooped my pants.. Wahh. But oh well embrace the race!!! At least I’m not the only one whose pooped their pants… Icky!!!
One last thing!
In the next few weeks we will find out when and where we are flying home. Although once we fly to the USA we have to get ourselves home, which of course means buying a plane ticket. So if anyone would like to help me make it back to the east coast, it would be greatly appreciated!!! Checks can be made our to Tonia Slimm and mailed to
PO Box 191, New Haven, New York13121.
Thanks y’all can’t wait to see you!
Much love!
