Hey everyone! Even though I’m back now, I still wanted to share a little bit about my last month in the Philippines!  This last month was the most exciting month for me.  I did a crazy variety of things; things that I loved.

I got to participate in feedings as you saw on my last blog.  These were some of the most memorable times I had this month; playing with the children, taking their pictures, and getting to know their families! It was so amazing and I miss it so much!  The children in the villages we went to loved getting their pictures taken and posing. It made my day! Sometimes it was thumb wars, or rock paper scissors… fairy dust?

This month I also had the opportunity to start a college girls Bible study.  I was praying for something to take leadership in, because I wanted to gain some more experience.  To my surprise God provided that! I only did the Bible study for three weeks, the first week just telling a little about myself, and encouraging them with a Scripture verse.  The next week we talked about finding your identity in Christ, followed by becoming the bride of Christ to your full potential!  These ladies were beautiful and amazing!  I pray that God does a great work in their hearts.  My hope for the Bible study is that it will just get passed on through all the groups who come through longer term and that the previous group would clue the next group in before they left.. Please pray for this ministry as I’m hoping it takes off!

This past month I also got to do some Typhoon relief work, which was a great experience. I got to do things such as unload and load trucks, clean out barrels and fill them with food, organzine medical supplies and much much more!  If you would like to help out for Typhoon relief feel free to donate to Kids International Ministries! You can do so at http://www.stayclassy.org/fundraise?fcid=285764!!!

Cleaning out barrels that would be used for storage and then water!

Thanksgiving day organization of medical supplies!

So many donations!

Picking up food donations!

This month has also been my favorite month! God did so many great things. He blessed me with some amazing friends from the Passport team as well as some others!  God is great and He knows exactly what you need when you need it!

Finally as some of you already may know, that after a month of being back we have a program called Searchlight that we can attend.  Its a time where we are reunited with most of our squad and we have sessions and one on ones to help us get back on our feet, or people can help job network us potentially.  During this time to we fellowship with our squad possibly for the last time together.  At this point in my life where I am at, I currently do not have the funds to attend Searchlight; since I have not been working all year.  Searchlight starts January 3rd, 2014 and ends January 8th.  It takes place in Gainesville, GA.  Which is quite far from Adams, NY.  I am still hoping that God has a way for me to go!  If you would at all like to bless me and help me get to searchlight you can make checks written out to Toina Slimm (My Mother) and mail them to 11975 Wright Street, Adams Center, NY 13606.  Also please be praying! Thanks again everyone and I hope you have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

O SQUAD!
