Hello everyone!
I wanted to talk a little bit about my friend Musa here below. When my team was at challenge farm last month, I fell in love with this little boy. His name is Musa and he is the reason of why someday I’m going to adopt a little boy from Africa! Musa is 9 years old and living at challenge farm in Kenya. Due to living on the street and not having a great home life, he was brought to challenge farm to be taken care of.
It was one night at dinner when Betsy and I decided to sit with some of the younger boys at dinner. This is where I met Musa. He was really shy and quiet the first time we met. Although he has the biggest smile in the world! One of the reasons why I was so attached! Betsy and I also met Musa’s good friend Joseph. For the next few weeks Betsy and I sat with Musa and Joseph at almost every evening meal time. Musa started to talk a little more and his silly side came out. By the end of our time being at challenge farm; I was known as Musa and Musa was known as Carina. As well as Betsy being known as Joseph and Joseph being known as Betsy. It was hilarious! When I would be walking by the soccer field I would always hear Musa yelling “Musa! How are you?” Haha and I would respond saying “I’m great Carina! How are you!?” I loved this little boy so much. He knows how to have fun! A few times he would hangout with the girls I hung out with and myself. His smile always would brighten my day. Whenever I saw him it was there.
Please be praying for Musa. He grew up Muslim, and even though he’s living at a Christian place, I believe he still holds on to that. He told me one night after praying at dinner that he did not say amen because he is Muslim. But God has a plan for this little boys life!
