I’m home!

First:  Thank
you so much for making this journey for me possible!  You have all been a part of it and have made it possible for
me!  Thank you, thank you!

Our squad spent a couple days together in Antigua for
debrief and then we flew from Guatamala city and all went our separate
ways…   Man that’s a lot
easier to write than it felt.  The
goodbyes were hard but it I’m thankful I was able to share life with that bunch
of awesome people.

I had an over night layover in L.A. before catching my next
flights.  I stayed with my
wonderful team mate Justin Jue and his family and we went out for the best
sushi ever!  It felt like another
cultural moment especially when the orders were being placed in another
language. Mmmmm… tasted so good.
Thanks Jue family!

Next, I caught an early flight to Seattle.  Seattle airport felt like home because
I’ve been there several times with friends and family; it marks familiarty and
almost home.  Plus, as I exited my
plane, I got so excited when one of the cities on the board with all the flight
info was Victoria!  I had a short
time in Seattle to grab a delicious coffee and enjoy the sight of the rugged
snow-capped mountains I’ve missed.

Just a short little flight and my family was there to greet
me in Bellingham!  It was so great
to be welcomed by them.  We spent a
couple cozy days on Orcas Islands in the San Juan Islands.  The wet west coast weather is definitely
a change but the gray and rain was nice to enjoy from inside a beach-side
cabin, or while hiking under the canopy of the big trees.

So I’ve had 2 sleeps in my own bed with my own comfy
covers.  Home and all the comforts
of it sometimes greet me more harshly than the characteristics of such nice
things possess. But it’s cool, and I’m thankful for home, and my friends and
family here.

Yea, I do live in such a beautiful place!  Right now I’m tucked into the side of a
rock over looking the ocean, mountains, listening to the waves meet the pebbles,
smelling that salty sea-air – sweet!
I gotta soak it up while I can…

Because…

 the question
that everyone likes to ask: What’s next….?

I’m leaving home again on May 31 for India.  I’ll be leading a group of 6 college-
aged girls on a 2-month missions trip in Andrah, Pradesh, India.  I’ll return home the first week of
August.

So really the end of one thing, the beginning of another.

Here’s my new blog: http://india-ap.adventures.org.
I don’t have much set up there yet, but all that’s on the way. I’d love
to have you follow me again in India, yup I’d be so blessed by it.  Please subscribe yourself to my blog
(or let me know and I can do it for you) and feel free to reply to the blogs I
post.

Many thanks!

May love and faithfulness never leave you. (Proverbs 3:3).
